Artist Statement

Wife, mother of four, farmer, and artist. Finding time to paint is a necessity, and most of my pieces are created after the children are in bed or long before dawn when a piece won't let me sleep. Keeping a photographic journal of intriguing images, captivating landscapes, and subtle expressions and movements of horses and other animals, allows me to slip away into a painting whenever time permits.

My family and my art define who I am, and my paintings are often a reflection of the world which comforts me: the horses whom I've ridden or admired, the animals who have shared a snuggle, the landscapes where I call home, the still life images which involve personal treasures, and the dances of sunlight which embellish an afternoon on our beef cattle farm. These are the pieces of my work that tell my story.

My paintings can be found in corporate and private collections throughout the Northeast and in California.
